I realise that we’re still only just getting started. But what lies ahead is, in a word, exciting. I can’t wait to try all the other beers I’m planning to brew. Whatever style of beer I drink, I expect it to be delicious and certainly not boring.

I love indicating the strength of our beers, which is why you’ll find the relevant number on every bottle we produce. In my opinion, the flagship beer of every Czech brewery is a 12° pale lager. However, the world of ‘ales’ is also incredibly interesting and largely unexplored, and I could never make do with just lagers.

We use carefully selected ingredients for our beers; we make no compromises.

The water we use to brew our beers is very soft, pure spring water from our own surface source. Given that there there is no industrial production, and as no for over 30 years, and only cows and sheep graze on the local pastures for miles around, this is first-class water, completely free from any negative influences.

The malt we use for our Czech lagers comes mainly from the malt house in Mšeno, near Mladá Boleslav. The malts for our other lager beers come from the Kounice malt house. For our speciality beers, we mainly use malts from the German Wayerman malt house or the British Simpsons malt house.

We source hops for our Czech lagers from Czech growers. For our speciality beers, we select hops from around the world depending on the beer’s style.

Yeast: we use different strains depending on the type of beer. For lagers, they come from the research institute in Prague or from the Bernard Brewery. For speciality beers, we most often use yeast from Fermentis.

All our beers are unfiltered
and unpasteurised.

We bottle our beer in 1-litre glass bottles with porcelain swing tops. Some limited editions are bottled in 0.33-litre bottles.

Our range also includes disposable 5-litre party kegs and, of course, KEGs with capacities of 15 litres, 30 litres and 50 litres. We use a type A tap (FLACH), i.e. a flat tap, also known as an ‘iron’.

MIGULA 12°

Premium Light Lager

12 % EPM 37 IBU 5,2 % alk. obj.

The Easter special, a Bavarian-style lager, has been named MIGULA. Why? As a tribute to and in memory of one of our village’s most prominent residents. Oskar Migula was a German citizen of Olešnice v O.h., who founded and ran the local brewery in 1869 until his death in 1929, when his sons Richard and Walbert took over. They continued until 1945, when the brewery ceased operations at the end of the Second World War. In brewing it, we used not only Pilsner pale malt but also Bavarian and Viennese malts. We hopped it four times with SAAZ and Perle varieties, brewed it as a two-mash beer and left it to mature in our cellars for eight weeks. And how does it taste? It has a subtle caramel flavour, lower bitterness, a delicate bite, a fuller body and a rich, creamy head.

THE KREMLIN’S ANGER 14°

Red India Pale Ale

14 % EPM 61 IBU 6,1 % alk. obj.

After the Agent managed to infiltrate the very top echelons of Russian intelligence, send the most top-secret information to his people, and disappear once his mission was complete, all hell broke loose in the Kremlin. We have reflected their bitter experience in this Red IPY, as well as the deep red colour of the Moscow sky.

MOVES 11°

Fruity Berliner Weisse

11 % EPM 11 IBU 4,3 % alk. obj.

Moves is our range of sour beers for the sizzling summer season. The first beer we brewed in this range was a Berliner Weisse, also known as the ‘champagne of the north’. And since it’s champagne, we’ve added white grapes and strawberries. Perfect for any party.

SPRING 11°

A light lager. Unfiltered, unpasteurised.

11 % EPM 35 IBU 4,3 % alk. obj.

A completely different lager to the one we brew all year round, and the one you’re used to. We’ve used different malts, different yeasts and different varieties of Czech hops. We’ve opted for a different brewing process. The aim was to brew a moderately to deeply fermented beer that’s highly drinkable, with lower but still pronounced bitterness that dances back and forth on the palate with the malty base. IBU 35

HOSOKAWA CLAN 13°

India Pale Lager

13 % EPM 38 IBU 5,6 % alk. obj.

The first new beer of 2022. The Hosokawa clan was the longest-reigning samurai clan in Japan. For almost 600 years, it held the power of life and death over half of Japan’s territory. The recipe for our second IPL-style beer naturally features hops grown in Japan; otherwise, the recipe is, of course, as secret as an agent. IBU 38

PREMIUM PALE LAGER 12°

Premium Light Lager

12 % EPM 52 IBU 5,5 % alk. obj.

A 12° light lager is the flagship beer of any brewery, and developing the recipe was a huge challenge for us. Our aim was to create a stronger, fuller-bodied beer with a higher alcohol content, a subtle bitterness and a crisp finish. The result is a beer with a beautiful colour and a unique flavour, which we have achieved using exclusively Czech ingredients and soft mountain water.

KOMPLIC 12°

American Weizen

12 % EPM 28 IBU 5,0 % alk. obj.

The agent works almost exclusively on his own, but there are situations when even he needs a partner — an accomplice. In response to numerous requests, we’ve brewed our first wheat beer. And since there are several good German-style wheat beers all around us, we’ve made ours in the American style. The result is a heavily hazy, pale wheat beer with an almost absurd amount of American aromatic hops in a double cold-hopping process.

THE 14TH PRESIDENT

West Coast India Pale Ale

14 % EPM 50 IBU 5,9 % alk. obj.

From an unnamed village in Nicaragua all the way to the White House. From poverty to the pinnacle of world power. From an orphan living on the streets to the most powerful office in the world. But his journey was neither short, easy nor fair! “El Presidente” is our first West Coast IPA. IBU 50.

CHICAGO 13°

India Pale Lager

13 % EPM 45 IBU 5,5 % alk. obj.

Our first India pale lager. A combination of ‘aromatic’ hops with bottom-fermenting yeast, and cold hopping as an added bonus. The brewing process is also a combination of the two main brewing traditions.

THE 13° PHENOMENON

American Pale Ale

13 % EPM 43 IBU 5,7 % alk. obj.

As the name suggests, this is an exceptional beer, and not just because of its unusual flavour, which is dominated by notes of red grapefruit and gooseberry. Its uniqueness also lies in its sparkling amber colour, rich white creamy head and delicate citrus aroma. The bitterness that lingers on the tip of your tongue literally invites you to take another sip. The body is maltier. This is not a classic example of the American Pale Ale style; this beer was designed for die-hard ‘lager lovers’ as a stepping stone into the world of pure Ales.

PALE LAGER 11°

Light lager

11 % EPM 44 IBU 4,9 % alk. obj.

Our 11° lager, brewed using a two-mash process, is a highly drinkable beer with a fuller body, a subtle bitterness, a rich, creamy white head and a medium-strength finish. We have achieved its unique flavour through a combination of three exclusively Czech hops and a blend of three Czech malts.

BLACK GUN 15°

Irish Stout

15 % EPM 44 IBU 6,1 % alk. obj.

Our first stout, Black Gun, will win over all beer lovers who favour bold flavours. It is characterised by an impenetrable black colour with ruby highlights and a full, creamy brown head, whose aroma features notes of roasted coffee beans, fine dark chocolate and caramel. On the palate, the flavour transitions from sweet to bitter, with a predominant coffee flavour and a chocolate finish. The result is a medium-bodied, semi-dry and highly drinkable Irish-style beer.

Stylish Girl. The third in the series, this time featuring raspberries and raspberry purée. The beer has a subtle, pleasant tartness from this popular fruit, but it is not a sour ale.

Sacred Weapon 22°

Imperial Stout

22 % EPM 33 IBU 9,0 % alk. obj.

We love dark beers, which is why we brew so many of them. This Imperial Stout was a challenge for us; we’d never brewed such a strong beer at our brewery before, and it was a bit of a trial by fire. Brewing began at 4 am and finished at midnight. In this beer, you’ll find notes of coffee alongside dark chocolate and a hint of hazelnuts.
